ASTCA CEO Supports WIOA-SYEP Program

This morning, ASTCA welcomed a total of 51 SYEP participants in this year's program at ASTCA. CEO, Chuck Leota delivered opening remarks to kick off the orientation followed by Department heads who shared a little about their interest and areas of responsibilities. The participants were then given the opportunity to choose their area of interest based on their study and career paths. 

A total of 28 chose the Engineering Department, 12 in the Marketing and Customer Service Department, and 11 chose the Retail and Corporate Sales Department. They were reminded of this year's theme with plenty of words of encouragement to empower them as future leaders of American Samoa. 

ASTCA CEO, Chuck Leota stated, "ASTCA is proud to be a part of the 2022 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) initiative as we do each year. ASTCA has gained many of their employees through this program who have become valuable assets to ASTCA! ASTCA is looking forward to these participants as they take them under their wing, and mentor them for the next 8 weeks to find potential talents and skills that can contribute to ASTCA's growth".
