Members of the House of Representatives heard firsthand from LBJ Chief Executive Officer Dr Akapusi Ledua that architectural plans for a new two-story building that will house the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and CT Scan, MRI, and IT division of the LBJ Hospital are nearing completion.

This is part of the hospital's Project Pasefika, initiated by the LBJ Board.

Chairman of the Board, Dr. Malouamaua Tuiolosega, told the House Health Committee this week new facilities are part of the hospital's Project Pasefika, outlining an upgrade and expansion of facilities and workforce development.

He explained that in February, ARPA confirmed that LBJ is entitled to $100 million from the $300 million for the health sector.
