Court Report

In court news, Michael Godinet recently appeared in the District Court in connection with an incident in April of last year concerning illegal drugs.

Godinet is charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, and bail was set at $5,000.

According to the government’s case, police stopped a vehicle seen picking up passengers and obstructing traffic on the Iliili highway.

Godinet was the car's driver, and his girlfriend and another man were with him.

When police searched the car, they found a clear glass containing a crystalline substance behind the driver’s seat.

They also found inside the girlfriend’s purse a red cut-up straw containing the same white crystalline substance and a medium-sized baggie with residue of the same substance. A test of the crystalline substances yielded a positive result for methamphetamine.
