DPS rule alcohol in FatumaFuti accident

Police have confirmed that the driver of the Nissan Rogue plate number 1819 that hit the curb at Fatumafuti and then flipped, fell asleep behind the wheels. A Police Officer who was at the scene told KVZK News the vehicle drifted off the road and hit the curb, overlapped onto the mountain side and then tipped over blocking the main westbound lane.The driver was an 18 year old male.
Two other passengers both males 18 years and a 34 year old, were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The two passengers were treated and released at the scene while the driver was transported by EMS to LBJ for treatment of minor injuries. The accident happened at around 5:30am today
A police unit and 3 motorcycles responded when they received the call. They acted quickly to seal off the main road. The driver of the vehicle told Police that they were heading home after work from the wharf when the incident happened.
