Updated: Jun 27, 2023

Canirahan Etimani has been charged in relation to a burglary case of the Ili'ili/Pava'ia'i laundromat.

This is in addition to other criminal charges concerning a separate burglary in Nu'uuli last month.

In this matter, Etimani is held on bail of $5,000. He is facing charges of first-degree burglary, trespassing, stealing and property damage second-degree.

This matter was reported to the Police last month, where Etimani was caught on surveillance footage unlawfully entering the Ili'ili Laundromat. It's alleged he pried open a window with an unknown object.

The total amount of stolen cash is approximately $370 inside the cash register. Court filings say the owner of the laundromat told Police aside from the stolen money and items, Etimani also damaged a sliding window, and the total estimation of the damaged property is approximately $250.

Police identified Etimanu as he was involved in previous burglary cases. On June 3, 2023, a woman contacted the Tafuna Police Station regarding Etimani, accused of burglarizing her Laundromat in Pavaia'i.

The woman then transported Etimani to the Tafuna Police Station utilizing her vehicle.
