The Department of Public Safety is investigating drugs found on Tafuna High School premises in the possession of three Junior level students on Tuesday.
It is alleged an envelope containing a baggie and a cut-up straw containing methamphetamine or ice were found and is now in the custody of Authorities.
Despite confirmation from the Police on the number of students implicated, Tafuna High School Principal Tutuila Togilau disputed that our story is incorrect and that it is not three students.
However, she refuses to divulge the number of students implicated. Mrs Togilau also took issue with KVZK naming the school in the article.
According to several officials from Tafuna High School, a teacher reported the students to the Principal’s office when suspecting the students had hard drugs in their possession.
Upon confirmation of white substances, Police were contacted for assistance and they took over.
The students were reportedly taken to the Police station immediately, according to THS officials.
Police Officers at the West Substation confirmed the drugs confiscated and the students involved are minors. This case have since been transferred to the Vice and Narcotics Division of the DPS.
