Legal Counsel seeks answers in death of her client inside TCF

Legal Counsel Mitzie Jessop-Taase has requested an autopsy for one of her clients, Eddieboy Va’avale, a drug defendant who died in prison recently.

The defense lawyer confirmed this in response to KVKZ News queries.

According to Jessop-Taase, the death of her client came as a surprise when she contacted the Department of Corrections to set an appointment to meet Mr Va’avale for his upcoming pre-trial conference before the court.

Jessop-Taase who is also the Lead Counsel for the Legislature told KVZK News a medical report has also been requested from the LBJ hospital.

KVZK News reached out to the Corrections Department for comments. However, there has yet to be a response as of press time.
