Lion’s Park opening Friday October 7th

The new look lions park playground and picnic area is set to open to the public this Friday 7th of October. The Director of Park and Recreation KennethTupuatold KVZK News a huge celebration is being planned to officially open the new area and the people better come prepared because the event is going to be huge. The draft program received by KVZK confirms the main road starting from the Territorial Correctional Facility all the way ANZ Bank Buildingwill be closed off on Thursday6th of September to allow the local vendors to set up for the opening the next day. Part of the main road starting from the TCF to the ANZ Building steel gate near the Nuuli Votec will be closed off at 6pm on Thursday 6th of Oct and all day Friday Oct 7th. The opening ceremony to officially open the park is set to take place at 11:00 am Fridayto be followed by family fun and a block party. Students from various schools in the Territory have been invited to attend. Governor LemanuP.S Mauga will deliver the keynote address.
