Man charged for allegedly assaulting his mother

A 20-year-old man has been charged over claims that he assaulted his mother.

Steven Moeteau is facing charges of assault and two counts of private peace disturbance. Moeteau appeared in the District Court last week.

The incident came to light when the mother contacted the Police regarding her son. It’s alleged the woman told her son to defrost the box of chicken.

This upset him threw his mother with the bottle of salt and landed on her arm.

Court filings say the mother informed Police this is not the first time something like this has happened, and she is constantly afraid for her life.

Moeteau was arrested and transported to the Police station. He refused to make a statement but then later confirmed he threw his mom with a salt bottle. There was no bail posted for Moeteau.
