MASI presents Certificate of Appreciation to Gov leaders

A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Governor Lemanu P. S. Mauga and Lieutenant Governor Talauega E. V. Ale this week from Miss American Samoa Incorporation (MASI) President Simeafou Otemai-Imo and Miss American Samoa Kauhani Fuimaono along with the four contestants of this year’s pageant.

Lieutenant Governor Talauega accepted the certificate and congratulated the outgoing Miss American Samoa for a job well done during her reign.

The contestants competing in the twenty-ninth Miss American Samoa Pageant had the opportunity to meet Lt Governor, they areKiahna Feagaiga Safuiono Siufanua sponsored by Lila’s Flora, Nelda Mareko sponsored by Laga’ali Couture, Judy Faafetai Tauanu’u sponsored by Fa’atamalii, and Tatiana Tiare Tausala Tupua sponsored by ICS Families and Friends.

Lieutenant Governor Talauega commended the women for their bravery to enter into the competition: “Thank you for sacrificing your daily lives to become an ambassador of American Samoa; I admire your courage and your willing spirit because it is not an easy feat.”

MASI has begun their week-long events and will host the Miss American Samoa Pageant on Friday, June 9, 2023.
