Nine hospital staff sacked over drug tests

The LBJ hospital is clamping down on drug users by conducting random weekly drug testing, which resulted in the termination of services of nine hospital staff.

This was confirmed by the Executive Director of the LBJ Board, Dr Jean Anderson in response to KVZK news questions.

Dr Anderson said nine were sacked and others had their duties modified, while they consider what is their next move.

She said the hospital is moving this initiative forward to remove the drug user from the hospital, which deals with the healthcare of the territory.

It was also confirmed that one of the nine people sacked was a staff member that worked in the operation room for over 10 years.
