Police requests for inquest of man that died inside TCF

The Department of Public Safety has requested an autopsy following the death of a man at the Tafuna Correctional Facility implicated in the death beating of his wife last week.

The deceased couple’s children are now under the care of Human Social Services.

As reported earlier, the children were present during the violent encounter that led to the death of their mother last Tuesday.

The same day, the suspect was taken into the custody of the Department of Corrections; on Thursday, Police confirmed the man died inside his cell, and it was alleged that it was self-inflicted.

The autopsy requested will determine the exact cause of death.
