Sale of gov property hailed a success

The Office of Property Management’s sale of government property earlier today has been hailed as a success.

Director Poleen Asalele told KVZK that people were lining up before 8:30.

The director noted the government’s auctions do not mainly target the business community rather it is open to members of the public. However, most people that attend their sales are business owners.

There were furniture, bedding, dishes, appliances and so much to choose from, with prices between $10 to $150.

There were also brand new dry walls up for sale today.

Additionally, Asalele says they hope to auction vehicles soon and that sale will be conducted in a bidding process. For this sale, the Office of Property Management collected over $20,000.
