Senator for Manu'a District #1 takes oath of office

Today, Poumele Pete Poumele was sworn in as Senator for Manu'a District #1.

Chief Associate Judge Mamea Sala Jr. officiated the ceremony, and his granddaughter did the honors of holding the bible.

Poumele takes over the seat following the passing of the Late Senator Tauiliili Paopao Lauifi of Fitiuta.

Poumele resigned from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation as Director to take on the seat.
