Step father charged in sex case

A man is held on bail for $50,000 on 19 sexual-related charges involving his 13-year-old stepdaughter.

KVZK has opted not to name the defendant to protect the minor's identity in this criminal matter.

According to the government’s case, this matter was reported to the Police in April, claiming that the defendant was sexually abusing his stepdaughter.

It's alleged that the sexual assault started between June 2020 and December, when the victim was only ten years old.

Court filings say the recent incident occurred in April, where the defendant would touch the victim inappropriately during the early morning hours while her mother was sleeping and sometimes would send sex videos to the victim via her messenger on social media.

The defendant is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, first-degree, attempted sexual abuse, nine charges of indecent exposure, stalking, harassment, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
