Task Force Committee considering new change for Covid positive travelers

The government through the Department of Health is considering allowing passengers coming into the Territory to proceed to their homes or hotels for self-isolation after testing positive of Covid 19.

The Chairman of the Taskforce Committee also Lt Governor Talauega said members of the committee are continuing discussions to make sure we do it right.

According to the current arrangement for inbound travelers, if their test results are negative, they will be allowed to go home to self-isolate for 5 days until completion. If their results are positive, the travelers will be transferred to either ACF 2 in Tafuna or the Hangar at the airport for isolation for 5 days and then another 5 days at home. Contacts of positive cases will be quarantined at Government's quarantine facilities together with the positive travelers.
