Territorial Auditor appointed

Michael Edmonds has been appointed as Territorial Auditor.

This was confirmed in a letter endorsed by Governor Lemanu P. S. Mauga, which was addressed to Senate President Tuaolo Manaia Fruean for confirmation. The letter was dated 24 July, 2023.

Pursuant to Article IV, section 7 of the revised Constitution of American Samoa and Section 4 of the American Samoa Code Annotated.

"I have appointed Michael A. Edmonds as Territorial Auditor. I submit Territorial Auditor Edmonds to the Legislature for confirmation.

Lemanu said Mr Edmonds is a Certified Internal Auditor with over thirty years of auditing experience and has worked as an auditor in municipalities in California.

He also worked as a Contract Performance Auditor in American Samoa from May 2012 to June 2013.
