Three minors apprehended by Police for smoking marijuana

Three underaged students were caught red-handed smoking marijuana today inside the Department of Youth and Women Affairs restroom by Police.

Police Officers confirmed this to KVZK.

The minors were at the DYWA to attend a youth forum hosted by the Department of Youth and Women Affairs.

One officer said the odor of marijuana caught the attention of a Senior Officer attending the event, which led to the call to the Tafuna Substation for assistance.

Three minors were taken into Substation, and Officers say there is a possibility that criminal charges will be laid against them.

The Senior Office said the irony was that drug abuse issues were discussed, yet minors were smoking cannabis in the same building.
