Young girl airlifted to Hawaii passes
The 14-year-old girl struck by solid currents in Vaitogi last week and airlifted to Hawaii passed away on Monday afternoon.
She was airlifted to Hawaii last Thursday; however, efforts to save her were unsuccessful. Hope Myung’s uncle, Dr. Richard Scott, relayed this devastating message on social media yesterday.
He said they are grieving with the Myung for the lost time they might have had with Hope in this world.
Hope was swimming with her mother when she was struck by strong currents and taken out to the open water.
Men in Vaitogi helped bring her to shore, where she was then rushed to the LBJ and was in the Intensive Care Unit until she was taken to Hawaii.
